Connecting a new integration can often be stressful. How do you know if your account is set up correctly when you're working with so many different platforms? Sometimes something as simple as a permission level can prevent you from connecting that integration to Oviond. In this article, we will be helping you understand how to get started with PayPal on Oviond.

Connecting PayPal To Oviond

To connect PayPal to Oviond you will need a Client ID and a Secret Key. Here is how you can find your Client ID and Secret Key on PayPal:

  1. Once you have logged into your PayPal account, scroll down until you see your account footer and select Developers
  2. At the top right corner of the screen, select Dashboard
  3. Select My Apps and Credentials
  4. Under this page, press Live
  5. Select Create App
  6. Name the App to help you identify what platform you have used the Client ID and Secret Key in and press Create App
  7. Under the section Live App Settings, tick the option Transaction Search and press Save
  8. Copy your Client ID and Secret Key and paste them onto the Oviond        authentication pop-up
  9. Once you are done press Save

Re-authenticating PayPal To Oviond

Working with APIs means that sometimes your authentications will need to be refreshed for security reasons. There are two error messages to look out for that can indicate that the token needs to be refreshed: Error: You Have Encountered An Unknown Error or Error: Missing Or Incorrect Authentication Credentials.

To re-authenticate PayPal to Oviond you will need to remove PayPal from your client project. Learn more about removing an integration.

After the integration has been removed from the client project, you will need to reconnect the integration to the account. Learn more about adding an integration to an existing client.

If you are still not able to connect your PayPal account to Oviond once you have tried the above, please contact support.
