Connecting a new integration can often be stressful. How do you know if your account is set up correctly when you're working with so many different platforms? Sometimes something as simple as a permission level can prevent you from connecting that integration to Oviond. In this article, we will be helping you understand how to get started with YouTube on Oviond.
Connecting YouTube To Oviond
To connect your YouTube account to Oviond all you will need your Google login credentials (email address and password). Here is how to connect YouTube to Oviond:
- From within a client project select Add Integration
- Select Youtube
- An authentication pop-up will appear asking to choose a Google Account. If the account you are looking to connect to has not been listed, select Use Another Account
- Select the account you would like to connect to
- Click on Allow to give Oviond permission to access the Google Account.
- Select the YouTube account you want to connect to from the drop-down menu and click on Save
Re-authenticating YouTube To Oviond
Working with APIs means that sometimes your authentications will need to be refreshed for security reasons. There are two error messages to look out for that can indicate that the token needs to be refreshed: Error: You Have Encountered An Unknown Error or Error: Missing Or Incorrect Authentication Credentials.
If you refresh your dashboard or your reports and you are prompted with the above error message, you will need to refresh your integration token. Learn more about how to refresh your integration token.
YouTube Limitations On Oviond
Please note that our YouTube integration only allows you to connect to channels that you have created in your YouTube Studio account. The YouTube API does not allow you to connect Youtube accounts that you have been given access to.
